Whether we’re buying or selling, rack sales are one of our favourite ways to shop right now. It’s better for the environment, better for our wallets and, honestly, better for our wardrobes (you’re way less likely to go out wearing the same thing as someone else). These are some of our current favourite rack sales on the Gold Coast.
The Curated Market, Nobby
If you’re new to shopping pre-loved, the Curated Market is the place to start. This boutique fashion and lifestyle event offers everything from handcrafted goods to designer wares, all from the Gold Coast’s most stylish sellers. Set amongst the cafes and restaurants of Oxley 1823, the Curated Market is the place to hunt for your new wardrobe, coffee in hand, fresh from a Pilates class or ‘hot girl walk’.

Lobby Rack Sale, Currumbin
If you thought Lobby was just a place to grab a cold foam latte (and maybe a cheeky vino in the evening) think again. In an effort to expand their community offering, they’ve started hosting monthly rack sales (along with a host of other fun events) – and build community they have. Come along, grab a coffee and enjoy flipping through the racks within the cool cavern of The Warehouses.

Mojave Markets, Burleigh Heads
Mo’s Desert Clubhouse is a true hidden gem. Situated in the industrial streets out the back of Burleigh, it’s a live music venue that also hosts a new rack sale, Mojave Markets. Taking place once a month on Saturday (the next on June 27), from 10am, you’ll find vintage and pre-loved stalls, handmade items, live DJ and even a licensed bar. It’s such a vibe.

Carrara Markets Car Boot Sale, Carrara
Open every Sunday morning at the iconic Carrara Markets, this car boot sale is the place to be if you love a second-hand bargain. With pre-loved fashion, books, toys, homewares, tools and so much more on offer, you can spend hours strolling between the sellers. Want to clear some clutter yourself? You don’t need to book to be a car boot seller – just show up, pay the $30 fee and start selling.

Love Me Again Markets, Palm Beach and Miami
Brisbane’s favourite designer rack sale has made its way to us, taking over both Space 10 on Tenth Ave in Palmy, and the iconic Miami Marketta. It’s the perfect opportunity to browse the wardrobes of the Gold Coast’s most stylish locals – and head come with treasures in hand.

Sun House Studio, Burleigh Heads
From half of the duo that brought us The Village Markets (RIP) comes Sun House Studio – a studio and co-working space in Burleigh that also hosts a must-shop rack sale. Don’t miss their selection of pre-loved and designer wares, brought together in their sun-filled space on select weekends.

Cherry Pickers, Miami
On the second Saturday of every month, you can get a side of vintage and pre-loved fashion with your food truck delicacies. Miami Marketta’s Cherry Pickers event gives people a place to sell a range of bargains as well as high quality vintage or handmade garments. A weekend shop, delicious street food stalls and the Marketta bar – what’s not to love?

Her Wardrobe, Tugun
Providing something for shoppers at the southern end of the city, Her Wardrobe is one of the best – and busiest – rack sales on the Gold Coast. It’s super easy to not only buy, but also sell with Her Wardrobe. They offer over 10,000 new and pre-loved items at each event, and host regular events each month.

Yatala Drive-In Boot Bargains, Yatala
The Yatala Drive-In Boot Bargains has everything from vintage items, clothing and accessorites to kids’ toys. Load up your car boot (or the whole car) and get involved for just $5. Entry for shoppers is just $2 per person. It takes place from 6am on the third Sunday of every month.

Dusty Rummage, Miami
Born at Dust Temple in Currumbin, Dusty Rummage has since found new homes at Balter Taproom, Murwillumbah’s M|Arts Precinct and Miami Marketta – meaning there are plenty of places to shop their unique selection of vintage and handmade wares.

Gold Coast Vintage Market, Broadbeach Cultural Centre
A total mecca for Gold Coast vintage lovers, the aptly-named Gold Coast Vintage Market only pops up a few times a year (and our wallets are very grateful). Sift through racks upon racks of curated vintage and designer items, meet the sellers and head home with pieces you won’t find anywhere else.

Fashion Thrift Society, Gold Coast Turf Club
More than a market, this is a full-day fashion experience. With over 100 curated stalls of vintage, preloved, designer and local small businesses, thousands of carefully curated pieces to shop, second-hand treasures and independent brands, plus food trucks, a local DJ and more.
