New Gold Coast restaurants to try this summer
A new season means new opportunities – to eat, drink and be merry, for the most part. Looking for the perfect place to celebrate the festive season (or just a Friday night)? Look no further than these new Gold Coast restaurants and cafes. Happy dining!

Kuroki, Sanctuary Cove
Set to open on December 4, Kuroki will bring a sleek new teppanyaki experience to the Marine Village. Brought to you by the team behind Coomera’s Kamikaze, Kuroki promises a beautifully moody new addition to the local dining scene. Inspired by its namesake – burnt wood – expect charcoal tones, stone accents and fire-crafted Japanese flavours.

River House, Southport
River House has just opened on the banks of the Nerang River, bringing upscale dining and relaxed coastal polish to this sparkling corner of Southport. Led by award-winning chef Grant Madgwick, the team serves up an elevated blend of architectural lines, natural finishes and sweeping river views – with a mouth-watering menu to top it all off. Finally, a chic new spot for long lunches, intimate dinners and celebrations big or small.

MOHR, Burleigh
MOHR is set to land in Burleigh next week, bringing with it the thoughtful, flavour-first style Chef Rob Mohr and Eden Beckingham have honed through their private dining company, Landbased. It’s an inviting, casual space built on fresh food, real flavour and genuine hospitality – the kind of neighbourhood spot that feels effortless, warm and made for everyone.

Meltemi Mediterranea, Broadbeach
In just a few short weeks, Meltemi has become one of our Broadbeach favourites. Channelling the charm of a Mediterranean courtyard – without the long-haul flight – it delivers warm, European-style ambience, standout cocktails and a menu built for lingering. From flaming saganaki with sweet grapes to prasopita filo cigars and pumpkin with pearl couscous, Meltemi is a little slice of the Med, right here at home.

Padre Beer, Miami
Padre Brewery has landed in Miami, pouring small-batch beers in a funky, laid-back space that already feels like a local favourite. Founded by a crew of beer-loving besties, the new taproom pairs Miami’s easy-going energy with seriously good craft beer – the kind of spot made for sunny afternoons, casual catch-ups and discovering your new go-to brew.
