Listen up, lovers. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and there are plenty of ways to spend it. Look no further than these Gold Coast Valentine’s Day ideas.
Dinner with a view
Is there anything more romantic than indulging in good food and wine as you watch the sunset over the water? Here on the Gold Coast, we’ve got a few restaurants that tick all of those boxes – and more. There’s the obvious Rick Shores with its world-famous bug rolls, but we reckon the new restaurant in Kirra, Siblings, is also worth checking out. Oh, not to mention Seascape in Surfers Paradise (which is a little bit fancy but totally worth it).
A sunset gondola ride
Did you know you don’t need to fly to Venice to take a sunset cruise in a gondola? The family-run Gold Coast Gondolas combines the beauty of the Gold Coast with the romance of Italy, letting you cruise the waterways in the most romantic setting. Your very own gondolier will expertly guide you through the Gold Coast canals while you enjoy an intimate dinner with your other half.
A luxurious staycation
Take an unforgettable getaway including one-night accommodation in one the JW Marriott’s luxurious suites. You’ll enjoy breakfast for two adults in Citrique’s award-winning restaurant, a cheese platter with locally sourced delights, a bottle of Moët & Chandon Champagne and valet parking. The Suite Indulgence package rates in February start at $709 per night.
A bottomless brunch
Celebrating Valentine’s Day on the weekend? Start it on the right note with an indulgent bottomless brunch – there are plenty to choose from, too. From Commune Café in Burleigh to Miss Moneypenny’s bottomless lunch (if you happen to rise a little later) complete with cocktails, the Gold Coast has it all. Check out our favourite brunch spots right here.
A day of relaxation
Treat yourself to a relaxing bathhouse visit this Valentine’s Day at the likes of Soak Bathhouse or Greenhouse (both are great). You can unwind in a magnesium pool, heat up in the steam room and sauna or take the plunge in an ice bath. For something a bit more traditional, how about a couple’s massage at One Spa?
A romantic bike ride
What better way to spend the day with the one you love than taking in the Gold Coast coastline from the back of a bike? We’ve got sun, surf and miles and miles of pristine sandy coastline, all right at our front door. If you’re keen to see the city from a new perspective, you might want to give one of these beachside bike rides a go. We’ve even listed three of our favourite places to hire a bike for you.
