HERE ON THE GOLD COAST, WE LOVE A GOOD MARKET. THE FRIENDLY FACES, THE HANDMADE PRODUCTS AND THE SMELL OF COOKING WAFTING THROUGH THE AIR… WE’VE COMPILED A LIST OF OUR MARKET FAVES. CONSIDER YOUR WEEKEND SORTED.
It just wouldn’t feel like Burleigh without the Village Markets. Created in 2008 as a platform for local emerging designers, artists, creatives and collectors, the markets quickly grew from simple buying and selling to a community affair. Nowadays, they’ve got handmade and vintage clothes, upcycled furniture and a tonne of other goodies to get your hands on. You’re sure to hear the Village Markets before you see them, as they’re alive with musical performances, food trucks and locals and tourists all there to check out the goods on offer. So, grab some grub, lay down an old blanket and sit back to enjoy the atmosphere.
