Exactly what it says on the tin, Steampunk is the physical embodiment of the weird and wonderful design style. Expect nods to Victorian-era décor and steam-powered machinery – not to mention a huge menu of mouth-watering meals and next level cocktails.
The Cambus Wallace, Mermaid Beach
There are very few places you can sink a whisky in a bar themed after an 1800s shipwreck. In fact, the Cambus Wallace may be the only one. With antique nick knacks and nautical paraphernalia everywhere you look, this Mermaid hidden gem promises a great (and particularly unique) night out.
Rosella’s, Burleigh Heads
Thwarting claims that Australia has no culture, beloved Burleigh bar Rosella’s is an ode to all things Australiana. Expect such reimagined classics as XXXX and fig damper, hot chips with chicken salt, homemade Fantales and inspired cocktails (Guava Cruiser, anyone?).
Cowboy’s, Surfers Paradise
