Ahh, Sunday. Some see it as the best day of the week – others, the worst. No matter where you sit, you may as well make the most of it. From wholesome markets to pool parties, here are the best things to do on a Sunday on the Gold Coast.
Mo’s Desert Clubhouse
With margaritas, tacos and unbeatable live music, Mo’s Desert Clubhouse’s Sunday Session is second to none. Given its founders all met at Burning Man, why wouldn’t it be? They just know how to party. They even have vintage markets – Desert Digs – every sixth Sunday from 12pm to 3pm.
Dusty Rummage
On the last Sunday of every month, make your way to The Dust Temple – the coolest venue in Currumbin, probably – for the ultimate rack sale. Vintage, pre-loved and handmade pieces abound at this market, so take your time going through each stall – you never know what you’ll find. Refuel with a drink or snack from the on-site cafe, and you’ve got yourself a perfect Sunday.
The Collective
Looking to level up your Sunday session? Head to The Collective. Not only can you chow down on your favourite bites from a range of cuisines (they have no less than five kitchens on-site), but you can also learn how to master the perfect cocktail in a cocktail class.

Miami Marketta
You can catch live music most nights at Miami Marketta, but we especially love closing out the weekend there. Turn a lazy Sunday into a street party with events like Festa Junina, the Brazilian Winter Festival, or simply a stroll among their street food stalls.
The Henchman
For a truly chill Sunday session, head to The Henchman in Miami. They put on fun events most nights, but their ever-changing Sunday offering has been known to include vintage markets, a double happy hour and live music.
Burleigh Pavilion
Keen to keep the party going until the end of the weekend? Burleigh Pavilion’s Summer Lover Sundays delivers. The Pav’ plays host to big name DJ’s every Sunday afternoon, proving they’re the place to be all weekend long.
Surfers Pavilion
Surfers couldn’t let the Burleigh Pavilion have all the Sunday fun, could it? Every weekend, Surfers Pavilion hosts a Sunday sesh with live music from 2pm. Arrive from 11am onwards for tasty food, delicious drinks and unbeatable views.
HOTA Farmers and Artisan Markets
Every Sunday, the Gold Coast’s Home of the Arts comes alive with market goers on the hunt for farm-fresh produce, gourmet foods and boutique fashion and homewares.
Cali Day Club
Looking to really send it? Head to the heart of Surfers Paradise (of course) to Cali Beach. The popular day club has been given a winter twist, with fire pits, one-of-a-kind cocktails and mulled wine on offer to beat the chill.
