Which suburb do you call home?
Miami
What makes that suburb the best on the GC?
I can’t say it’s the best because there are so many beautiful areas on the coast, with their own distinct personality. I love Miami because it has a friendly
village feel, full of laidback locals who enjoy a healthy lifestyle. It’s hard not to be active and happy when the beach is your backyard!
Fave place to stop, relax for 20 mins and enjoy a morning cuppa? And what treat is on the plate beside your hot bevvie?
I like Piccolos at Miami because it’s no fuss, friendly and right across from
the beach. I try (note: ‘try’) to be healthy so I’d probably choose a pitaya bowl or a little protein treat!
Fave Gold Coast casual dining location? What’s on the menu?
There is a lot to choose from these days! Our go-to is Burleigh, because there are plenty of options there. I’m a pescatarian, which is a fancy word for a vego who eats fish, so fish would likely be on the menu! Or a salad packed with veggies.
You’re planning a fun, local night out with your mates? Which three locations top your list and
why?
There has to be a surf club in there, for the sunset views. North Burleigh is a personal favourite. Then maybe to Broadbeach for some Mexican at Miss Margarita. We could easily end the night with some fancy cocktails – the new gin bar Old Tom is great!
Best local spot for family hangs and why?
Burleigh Hill for an afternoon/sunset picnic is almost unbeatable for the views and friendly atmosphere. The Pirate Park at Palm Beach is also a dog lover’s paradise.
Fave Gold Coast shopping destination?
Pacific Fair. It’s an old favourite and now with the revamp, it’s my one-stop shop for just about everything. I’ve been known to spend a little too much time there.
Complete this sentence: Only a Gold Coast local knows…
There’s a lot more to this city than Surfers Paradise!
