Which suburb do you call home?
Mermaid Beach
What makes that suburb the best on the GC?
It has a great energy with people running and cycling along Hedges, the beaches aren’t crowded, there are great bars, restaurants and cafes, and it still has a friendly community vibe.
Fave place to stop, relax for 20 mins and enjoy a morning cuppa? And what treat is on the plate beside your hot bevvie?
I get up early to train and sometimes I arrive home before my boys are awake. I love just having a cuppa on our balcony on my own. I also love anything sweet from Fosters Bakery at Nobbys.
Fave Gold Coast casual dining location? What’s on the menu?
Mermaid Beach Surf Club. We love the parmigana or lamb salad. Otherwise, Palm Garden Chinese at Palm Beach where we love the chicken and cashew.
You’re planning a fun, local night out with your mates. Which three locations top your list and why?
Little Mermaid has great, relaxed décor. Cambus & Wallace make great cocktails and offer a pretty funky fit out with cool tunes. And Aloha is just a bit different for a fun Friday night out with great DJs.
Best local spot for family hangs and why?
Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach. The boys can ride or scoot along the track and there are great play areas for littlies and older children.
Fave Gold Coast shopping destination?
Pacific Fair. I love all the new brands since it has been renovated and they kept so much of the outdoor space. Also Harbour Town to grab some good bargains.
Complete this sentence: Only a Gold Coast local knows…
