A curated selection of creative, local and environmentally-minded brands can be found at the Green Marquee – the Gold Coast-based market, wedding and events company. With stalls selling everything from recycled fashion, homewares and art to beauty products, food and (most importantly) coffee, the Green Marquee is the place to be for Gold Coast locals and eco-warriors alike.
As major proponents of the ‘Slow Fashion Movement’, the Green Marquee is a great place to sell any of your unwanted clothing items on to loving new homes. That’s right – you don’t have to sell handmade soap or fair-trade coffee (although you’re sure to be a hit if you do) to get involved as a stallholder at the Green Marquee.
Where and when: Ground, 639 Currumbin Creek Road, Currumbin Valley // 2-7pm, second Saturday of the month

With the upgrade of the Surfers Paradise foreshore, including that big, new, inviting footpath and upgraded beach access, the Surfers Paradise Markets have enjoyed a reinvigorated home. And what a home it is – the view from this market and the beachside ambience have made it popular with international tourists, short-stay visitors, after-dinner diners and locals alike. Held each Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, there are about 130 stalls along this 800m foreshore stretch with live entertainers bringing the fun.
You’ll find a wide variety of stall holders here – pick up fashion and jewellery, exotic shells, art, unique homewares, artisan foods and more. You can score Dad that cane toad wallet he’s always wanted or get your own handmade into a wax sculpture – and everything else in between! If the weather’s off though, the markets can be cancelled so keep an eye on their Facebook page for any notifications.
Where and when: Surfers Paradise foreshore // 4-9pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
