Looking for fun mid-week activities on the Gold Coast? Look no further. From bingo to trivia, and even dance classes, there’s no shortage of fun to be had – even in the middle of the week.
Ping pong at the Pav | Burleigh Pavilion
Head to the Burleigh Pavilion every Wednesday from 4pm for an epic game of Pav Ping Pong. The competition runs from 8pm to 10pm, and you can sign up in the venue on the day. Expect fun, laughter and your favourite @aperolspritzau cocktail, plus fun prizes to be won.
Taproom Trivia | Balter Brewers
Join the Balter crew on Wednesday nights for trivia in the taproom. You can also score $5 Tacos and Tinnies. Register your team from 6pm for a 6.30pm kick off! Remember, teams are capped at 12 people.
Comedy, live music and more | Mo’s Desert Clubhouse
When it comes to weeknight fun, you can’t go past Mo’s, everyone’s favourite ‘desert clubhouse’ (read: Mexican-inspired bar and music venue). Check out their What’s On page to see the full program of events, from stand up comedy to performances by local, national and international musicians. There’s always something happening at Mo’s.
Live music | Vinnies Dive
Looking for more live music, perhaps a little further north? Vinnies Dive in Southport mostly hosts live performances from local musicians on Friday and Saturday nights, but you can often catch a Wednesday or Thursday night gig, too. They sometimes put on karaoke nights, if you’d prefer to do the performing.
Drag bingo | Miami Marketta
Why play bingo when you can play drag bingo?! These events are 18+ (that’s how you know they’re a lot of fun) and take place on Wednesday nights – which is good, because we reckon you need a good few days to recover before the weekend. Expect high energy, lots of laughs and fierce competition.
Billy’s jam sesh | The Henchman
The Henchman has you covered from breakfast to dinner, so it’s little surprise they offer some of the best mid-week activities on the Gold Coast, too. Thursday night is their jam session, which is open to all singers and artists wanting to show off what they’ve got.
Trivia | Apres Surf
This Burleigh favourite promises their Wednesday night trivia is more than just a fun night out – you could also leave with a prize from Gage Roads Brewing or an Apres Surf voucher in hand. And, if not, you’ll definitely win on the drink specials and delicious food.
P.S. They also do open mic comedy nights every Thursday night.
Life drawing | The Dust Temple
Since starting out at the Dust Temple, Currumbin, in 2014, these life drawing sessions have grown from humble beginnings into a popular event for artists and novices alike. If you’re looking to try something new, come along for a night of creativity, live music and the art of life drawing.
