ANNOUNCER AT 94.1FM, AMBASSADOR
Which suburb do you call home?
Main Beach
What makes that suburb the best on the GC?
It’s close to the beach and also the river and walking distance to all the cafes, bars and restaurants (and staggering distance home again!). It’s a relatively quiet suburb. It’s a very central location, we often walk into Marina Mirage, Omeros Bros, Surfers or Southport.
Fave place to stop, relax for 20 mins and enjoy a morning cuppa? And what treat is on the plate beside your hot bevvie?
I love my coffee and Main Beach has a number of very good cafes. Hard Coffee for bacon/egg english muffin followed by a cappuccino and lemon myrtle biscuit or Black Smiths for an omelette with coffee and the Gold Coast Bulletin.
Fave Gold Coast casual dining location? What’s on the menu?
Bistro Chico on Tedder Ave – Darren is amazing! Some of our favourites include the Burnt miso tuna, Snapper tacos + Apple Fennel Slaw or the Confit duck leg with steamed fig pudding
for dessert.
You’re planning a fun, local night out with your mates? Which three locations top
your list and why?
Harry’s Steak House at Burleigh. Then on to the roof top bar Justin’s Lane. Then crash the night with friends at Burleigh Beach.
Best local spot for family hangs and why?
Our balcony at sunset.
Fave Gold Coast shopping destination?
Pacific Fair and Marina Mirage Farmers Markets.
Complete this sentence: Only a Gold Coast local knows…
