Three spring-approved outfit formulas
What is it about a change in season that makes us completely forget how to dress? If you’ve been suffering from fashion dysphoria during these transitional weeks, go back to basics. Here are three simple spring outfit formulas to suit (almost) any occasion.
Button up shirt and loose pants
One plus one doesn’t always equal two – in this case, adding one button up shirt to one pair of loose-fitting pants gives you countless outfit options.
Wear a crisp white shirt with satin slacks, a pastel button up with your favourite jeans or colour-coordinate to create a Canadian tuxedo (or any other kind of ‘matching set’).
From there, add some pointed-toe heels for a night on the town, your favourite sneakers to run errands or some chunky sandals for a stylish day trip. Like we said, the possibilities are endless.

Mini dress and a big boot
There aren’t many days of the year you can get away with a heavy boot and a mini dress, which is a real shame – it’s the ultimate ‘throw on and go outfit’.
Whether it’s a moto boot, a cowboy boot or a boot of the heeled variety, there’s just something about the dark heaviness paired with a floaty dress. A true match made in heaven.
Pair this combo with your market bag or a sparkly clutch depending on the occasion. If its unseasonably cold, a leather jacket or oversized blazer is the cherry on top.

Boho blouse and baggy shorts
We’re not sure whether to credit the TikTok term ‘blokette’ (a blokey take on coquette style) or Carrie Bradshaw’s frantic dog chase in Season 3, Episode 10, for this unusual combo – but we are sure that we love it.
Pair your favourite peasant blouse with a pair of sporty shorts or boxers for your next brunch outing or picnic.
Or why not head west with a pair of boyfriend denim shorts? Fun accessories like a bandana and or baguette bag only add to the charm.

When did the idea for your business first come about? And how?
